The human body is amazing and so much goes on within our bodies that we are not even aware of and all the different systems of the body work together seamlessly so we can carry on with our daily activities without much thought. Below are some interesting facts about our body.

  1. Blood flows to all our organs and carries all the necessary nutrients for the organs to function properly, including oxygen and glucose among many other constituents. The highest blood flow of all the organs in our body goes to the kidneys. This is because the kidney acts as a filtration system and removes waste products from the blood that are harmful to the body.
  2. The longest bone of the human body is the femur located in our thighs. It can support around 30 times the weight of the person which equates to being stronger than steel however bones are brittle and can fracture when impacted.
  3. Our ears and nose never stop growing during our life.

  5. The fastest muscle in the body is the muscle used when blinking your eye. They can contract in around 1/100th of a second.
